Rosalee Campbell Obituary

Rosalee Irene Campbell, 84, died on August 20, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas.

Rosalee was born on January 7, 1931 in Luray, Kansas to Floyd and Veda (Reed) King.

Rosalee was married to James Lee Campbell. He passed away on March 19, 2010. They were long-time residents of Newton, KS.

Rosalee was a gifted painter, quilter, seamstress, and artist. She decorated the window displays for J.C. Penney's for many years. After her retirement she volunteered for the Carnegie Historical Society, enjoyed a monthly breakfast group with retired J.C. Penney employees, and a weekly bridge club in Hillsboro. She was blessed with wonderful neighbors and friends and a family who will miss her very much.

Rosalee is survived by her children: Cindy and Rick Sutton, Jim Campbell, and Steve and Denise Campbell; sister: Betty Kleck; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 24th, at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. just prior to the service. An inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
