Scott Goering Scott Goering, born October 23, 1951, died January 4, 2023 at the age of 71. He lived in rural Newton, KS. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Lorene Goering. Scott is survived by daughters, Megan Frymire (Keith) and Leslie Knapp (Daniel), and sisters, Beverly Martinez and Trisha Grosch (Doug). Grandchildren include Natalie, Ally, and Alex Knapp, and Caleb, Cameron, Colby, and Collin Frymire. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews. Scott was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. Scott loved working outdoors and ran Goering Enterprises for 46 years. He started out doing dirt work and expanded into demolition. He enjoyed maintaining his own equipment and teaching family and friends all that he knew. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family outside of work. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Newton Bible Church, 900 Old Main Street, Newton, KS on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10:00 am. Following the funeral, burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, KS. Memorial donations may be made to Newton Bible Church, 900 Old Main Street, Newton, KS. 67114.
