John Luther "Luke" Whiteside

Mr. John Luther "Luke" Whiteside, 67, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at his home.
The memorial service for John was 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church of Indian Land, with burial in Belair United Methodist Church Cemetery in Indian Land.
Visitation and greeting of friends was 1-2:30 p.m. at the church.
John was born July 7,1950, in Mecklenburg County, N.C., a son of Mrs. Jane Furr Whiteside and the late John Truman Whiteside and was married to Kathy Wilson Whiteside.
John was a sales engineer with RPM of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of the University of South Carolina Class of 1973.
John is survived by his mother, Jane Furr Whiteside; his wife, Kathy Wilson Whiteside of the home; three daughters, Karrie Crocker and husband, Seth Crocker, Kelly Sides and husband, Matt Sides, and Maribeth Haynes and husband, Jonathan Haynes, all of Lake Wylie; six grandchildren, Avery, Raegan, Sawyer, Savannah, Scarlett and Emma; one brother, Ralph Whiteside and wife, Regina, of Indian Land; two sisters, Nancy Moore and husband, Thomas, of Indian Land and Judi Smith and husband, Wyn, of Rock Hill.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Whiteside.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials and gifts may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund 238 Fort Mill Highway, Indian Land, S.C.
