Sammy Moree Obituary
He was born November 30, 1947, in Jefferson, a son of the late Minnie Moree. Mr. Moree was a man who had multiple interests. He loved being with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Moree was a professional truck driver who loved to log miles. He enjoyed listening to gospel and country music and also liked to work in his garden.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Moree will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Lancaster Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Norman Dobson and Emmie Davis officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Moree is survived by his wife, Anita B. Moree of Heath Springs; three sons, Samuel Alton Moree and his wife, Christal, of Lancaster, John Moree and Jason R. Moree and his wife, Kendra, all of Charlotte; a daughter, Leighann Moree of Statesville; two sisters, Shirley Barrs of Lancaster and Jean Greene of Fayetteville, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Lancaster Funeral Home.
