Sarah Wright Obituary

Ms. Sarah R. Wright was born July 8, 1940, in Chesterfield County. She was the daughter of the late Ms. Maggie Humphries, and ex-wife of the late Robert Wright. She was educated in the Chesterfield County school system and was employed with Walmart in Lancaster, where she retired.

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, our "Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend," danced her way into eternal peace with Our Lord and Savior.

Sarah leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughters Shirley F. Wright of Concord, N.C., Clara M. Wright of Lancaster and Shanice W. Shackelford (Jamaal) of Hampton, Va.; grandchildren, Shanreca Crawford-Benjamin (Michael) of Concord, Talina W. Jones (Junior) of Aiken, Charles O. Crawford and Coteka Crawford of Concord; great-grandchildren, Jykice Mackey, D'yante Jones, D'Myas Jones, Hy'Saun Wallace and Alona Wallace; great-great-grandchildren, Mason Shackelford and Isabelle Shackelford; nieces, Diane McDougal, Gloria McDougal, Ruth Marsh and Keisha McDougal; and nephews, cousins and friends.

Public visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Lamb's Funeral Home, 302 Broad Drive, SW Concord, NC 28025.
