Sheree Powell Obituary
She was born Feb. 22, 1957, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late James Rowell and Kathy West McMinn. She was the wife of the late Butch Powell.
Mrs. Powell loved looking at dream catchers and watching birds at her birdfeeders outside her window. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses and turquoise jewelry. Mrs. Powell was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved watching their games.
Mrs. Powell is survived by son, Justin Powell; two daughters, Felicia Dube and her husband, Daryl, and Sammi Jo Powell; 11 grandchildren, Zach Justice, Jasmine Messer, E. J. Messer, Charley Messer, Kiera Powell, Adaysia Messer, Brennan Dube, Chase Messer, Morgan Glover, Parker Dube and J.J. Powell; a brother, Frank Rowell and his wife, Melissa; a sister, Donna Middleton and her husband, Steve; a sister-in-law, Debra Blackmon; three nieces, Rebecca Rowell, Caroline Rowell and Katie Middleton; two nephews, D. J. Middleton and his wife, Crecia, and Micky Blackmon; and her bonus children and grandchildren, Toby Knight, Dixie Knight, Elizabeth Knight, Brian Hunter, Daniel Hunter, Kevin Montgomery, Kylee Montgomery and Keyuhn Montgomery.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Butch Powell; a grandchild, Carter Dube; and a sister-in-law, Roxanne Powell.
The celebration of life memorial for Mrs. Powell was 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in the chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Thurmond Johnson and Ms. Rebecca Rowell.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 901 W. Meeting Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, SC 29720.
