Age 73 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Viewing today, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 12 Noon - 6 p.m. Family will receive family and friends Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 12 Noon - 1 p.m., at Ebenezer AME Church. Funeral service 1 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Ebenezer AME Church. Burial Resthaven Memorial Garden.
He was born July 23, 1940 in Clarksville to the late Ralph and Alberta Nolan Jenkins. He retired from Clarksville Fire Department.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Walker Jenkins and grandchildren, Brandi Michelle and Brandon Michael Perkins, and silblings, Joyce Jenkins, Cato Jenkins, Kenneth Ray Jenkins, Theodore Jenkins and Maggie Merriweather.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, daughters, Bonita Walker Perkins, Conyers, GA and Terri Lynn Jenkins, Clarksville, TN; two grandchildren, Cameo A'Lexis Jenkins and Xavier Ralpheal Jenkins; great-grandson, King Ralpheal Jenkins; sister, Martha Francis Nicholson, Ashland City, TN; brothers, Harold (Gloria) Jenkins, Clarksville, TN, Ernest (Elizabeth) Jenkins, Portland, OR, Ronnie (Flewellen) Jenkins, Jackson, TN, Lonnie (Judy) Jenkins, Jackson, TN and Franklin Jenkins, Ashland, KY; and a host of family and friends.

Heard of Arthur,s passing from a dear friend and classmate. I have met very few people who were as kind and gentle as Arthur. You married my good friend Phyllis and do know that she said she had finally found love. Rest in peace my friend.

Terri and family, I'm sorry to hear about AJ. What a good man and a GREAT cook, I will always have found memories of him at the fire station, me running around there as a little kid and him cutting up with me. My uncle that I loved since I was a little girl I blessed with all of our memories... I was glad to be able to sit with u and talk to u in ur last day while u was in the nursing home!! I will truly miss u love always F.H.I.H... fly high in heaven??
