While our relationship was sometimes complicated, there wasn't a day that went by in 6 years of knowing and loving him that we didn't talk. Right up until the minutes before he passed, we were in near constant contact. Even though a lot of time has passed, I still sometimes expect my phone to go off and it be him. He was more than my boyfriend, he was one of my best friends. I hope he is resting easy, and that Mr and Mrs McCann, Kristen, Carson, Katie, and Connor know he is watching over them. He knew he was loved just as we knew he loved us. I hope time has brought some comfort to all those who knew him.

As time passes, our memories become fond friends and a link to those we hold dear that are no longer beside us but within our hearts and souls. May you continue to heal and remember Caleb with a smile and a happy memory. The other day one of his classmates stopped by and mentioned how much he missed Caleb; Caleb continues to make an impact on the lives of those of us that knew him. I wanted you to know that you are still in our thoughts and prayers.

I remembered everything I personally knew about Caleb back when we sat with each other at lunch at Benton Hall Academy, and even though I was in a lower grade than he was, he always gave off that tone that he was wanting to be equal to others. He is a wonderful soul and he deserves the best anywhere he is, as do anybody who welcome others no matter where they come from. I am very thankful for how good of a friend he was, even if we never spoke after he graduated.

Caleb offered his services several
Times on our farm, he had such good work ethic, no job too small, whatever had to be done, he did so gladly. He always had a smile, kind things to say, rest peacefully Caleb, for I know you await a crown and your hope as all of us is in our resurrection with our Messiah, we will see you again my friend, as we join you in the clouds some glorious day!!

When you think of Caleb, you smile. His smile was contagious and his personality complex; he was both young and old at heart at the same time and in the same conversation. At NCI Caleb (McCann) challenged himself and those around him to be better and work harder. Please know that there are no words of comfort that we can offer to sincerely reflect our thoughts and prayers during this time. Caleb was an inspiration, kind soul and fun loving person that will be remembered with a smile and the knowledge that he brought out the best in others. May each day bring an uplifting memory of Caleb for you to cherish.
