Clara Sullivan Obituary
Stewart - Ms. Clara L. Mullins Stavely Sullivan, age 93 of Stewart, TN passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her home. She was born September 15, 1926 in Stribling, TN daughter of the late Richard and Addie Gray Mullins. Ms. Sullivan was an avid quilter with the Leatherwood Quilters and a member of the Leatherwood Asbury Methodist Church. She was owner and operator of Stavely Grocery in Stewart, TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Stavlely, second husband, Thaxton Sullivan, brother, David Mullins, sisters, Bobby Lyle, Ann Day, stepchildren, Brian Sullivan and Barbara Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Nolin (Marvin), Dover, stepsons, Doris Sullivan, Nashville, TN, Thaxton Sullivan, Jr., Huntingdon, TN, brothers, Buford Mullins, AL and Matthew Mullins, Erin, TN, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am Friday at the Lane Cemetery, Stewart, TN, with Pastor Phoebe Jowers and Pastor Carl Jowers officiating. Pallbearers will be Harry Foster, Howard Day, Donnie Boone, Freddie Byrd, Marty Nolin, and Albert Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Thaxton Sullivan, Jr. and Marvin Nolin.
