Nathan Butts Obituary
Nathan Thomas Butts, age 77, of Clarksville, TN, died on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on September 29, 1934 in Stewart County, TN to the late Willie R. Butts and Sadie Wilson Butts. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Butts and Acree Butts; four sisters, Etheleen Butts, Magdalene Wyatt, Eula Ellis and Willie Mae Balthrop.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Paul Edwards officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 2011 from 2 til 5 p.m. and Monday, December 19, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Nathan was a retired mechanic with Trane.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of the children, Carolyn Lyle; four sons, Gary (Viola) Butts, Larry (Donna) Butts, Randy (Debra) Butts and Darryl Butts all of Clarksville, TN; sister, Nancy Johnson of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Brandi (Andy) Israel, Lydia Butts, Tyler Butts, Trevor Butts and Trenton Butts; five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 1539-C Ashland City Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
