Truck Driver
LAKE WALES - David Wilson, Jr., 83 of Lake Wales, died June 12,2011 of cancer.
Born in Sparr, Florida, he was a 1950 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Lake Wales, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a faithful member, Steward and sang in the Sons of Allen Male Chorus of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Lake Wales.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Doris Wilson (married on June 19, 1951); children, Preston Wilson, Yvette Jordan and Dwight Wilson; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Carlton Wilson and David Wilson III, sister, Leola Hughes and brother, Roosevelt Wilson.
Visitation: Friday 7 to 9 p.m. at Allen Temple AME Church, Lake Wales. Services: Saturday 11 a.m. at Allen Temple.
