MULBERRY - Mr. Glenn R. Books, 87, passed away May 31, 2011 as the result of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
Mr. Books was born in Red Wing, MN on Jan. 23, 1924. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion and the DAV.
Mr. Books is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Books of Mulberry; daughter, Charlotte Brainard of Lakeland; son, Gary Books of Iowa; sister, DeLois Miller of Minnesota; grandchildren, Andra Brainard of Lakeland, Jason Books and Cindy Bowen of Nebraska, and Shannon Books of Iowa; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Burial with military honors will be conducted privately at Florida National Cemetery.
