HARLIN PLUMLEE Obituary
PLUMLEE, 85
LAKELAND - Harlin Kenneth Plumlee, 1927-2013, 85, Lakeland, Florida, passed away January 26, 2013 at Consulate Care Facility, due to natural causes.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia D. Plumlee. Born in Vernon Kentucky, October 28, 1927, son of late Asa and Mayme Plumlee and survived by sisters Josephine Plumlee and Virginia Karnes.
He was a Lakeland resident since 1963. He retired as vice president of sales & marketing from Master Craft Ski Boats of Maryville, TN. He was an esteemed member of the South Florida Church of Christ and the Lakeland Republican Men's Club. As a local business leader he served as president of the Lakeland Water Ski Club, owned a SE Regional Sales Company, real estate, and in most recent years, as a weekly fixture at the Downtown Lakeland Farmers Market.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and those he came in contact with who loved him. He is survived by children Larry A. Plumlee, K. Glenn Plumlee, Lawrence H. Plumlee, Gale P. Clem, Eric D. Plumlee and Barbara P. Scott; eleven grandchildren Kelly Plumlee, Holly Plumlee, Amanda Durant, Heather McLeod, Laura Vitito, Megan Parker, Katherine Scott, Justin Scott, Savanna Plumlee, Chelsea Clem, Mayme Plumlee; and seven great grandchildren.
His family will receive relatives and friends for visitation, Friday February 1st from 6 to 8pm and a 10am service will be on Saturday February 2nd at Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 S. Bartow Hwy., Lakeland. A Celebration of Life is to be held at the Plumlee residence from 12:30 until 2:30pm.
