LAKELAND - Mr. Harold Lewis Dowd, age 82, died Saturday, September 20, 2014, due to a stroke.
Born in Sinclairville, N.Y., on March 14, 1932, he came here from Jamestown, N.Y., in 1974. Harold was a mason, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the NRA.
Mr. Dowd is survived by his wife Rose Ann Dowd, Lakeland; sons John Dowd, Polk City, David Dowd, Lakeland; daughters Catherine Huntsman, Stockbridge, GA, Patricia Wright, Polk City, Elizabeth Igoe, Lakeland; brother Robert Dowd, Jamestown, N.Y.; sisters Beverly Rhodes, Endwell, N.Y., Virginia Milks, Greenville, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel.
