John Nelson Obituary

Construction SuperintendentBRADFORD, Pa. -- Mr. John C. "Jack" Nelson of Bradford, Pa., who has family in Lakeland, died of complications following a stroke Thursday (Nov. 10, 2005) at The Pavilion at BRMC. He was 82.He was born in Winchester, Ky., on June 23, 1923. He worked at Kendall Refining Company and Witco Corporate Engineering Department where he retired as a construction superintendent. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Bernard Church.Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lehman Nelson; twin daughters, Beverly N. Gallup, Bradford, Pa., Barbara Appa, Lakeland; son, Dr. Stephen Nelson, Lakeland; sister, Bonnie N. Walker, Bradford; twin brother, James A. Nelson, Bradford; six grandchildren.Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hollenbeck Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main St., Bradford. Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Bernard Church. Memorials may be made to the Beverly N. Gallup honorary fund, Bradford Hospital Foundation, 20 School St., Bradford, Pa., 16701.
