Coach, God bless you and your family during this time. My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family. From Green Bay to FAMU you and your family became a big part of my life. I am extremely grateful for your guidance and leadership throughout my career. I would like to thank you, Barbara, Kim, Kenisha, and Ken Jr. for making me part of your family. I will always remember your words of encouragement as a coach, boss, and friend. I will miss that Ken Riley smile most of all!

Due to circumstances beyond my control I sincerely regret that I am unable to join you at the life celebration of my friend and colleague Ken Riley. Barbara, to you and the family I want to extend God's Love and Comfort via James 5:16 which simply instructs us to "Pray one for another"... please know that your friends at Bethune-Cookman University stand with you during these days and those to come.
Ken was not only a role model of mine when I was a young kid in Daytona Beach, but became a great colleague and friend as we led our respective athletic departments. His life is a shining example of excellence and leadership and a blueprint for all to follow. God Bless You!

What a beautiful life Ken Riley lived. He will be remembered for generations to come for his wonderful accomplishments on and off the fields of the NFL. His meek and mild spirit blessed the lives of so many. Our heartfelt condolences to his lovely wife, his children, his beautiful sisters, his Aunt, his step father. his entire family and all who knew and loved Ken Riley. I know just what you all are feeling; I walked in your sames shoes almost 2 years ago. So I know the Lord will bring you all through this difficult time in your lives. Our prayers of comfort are with you all during this time of bereavement! I was bless to know and play with this special guy on the Rattler football team. Just being in his presence was inspirational and motivational to be more of what God intended for mankind to be. Condolences to the family. Ken Riley left you sad, but know also he left you with memories for you to be happy. My wife Loretta, 2 of our children, 1 of our grand children attended FAMU as did Ken. We all are proud of this Rattler and cherishes his living. God, continue to be merciful and loving to Ken Riley.

I was Ken's lawyer the past few years and was honored to be that, but moreover, honored to be called a friend. I deeply enjoyed our emails and text chats. Ken was a truly humble man who never felt the need to tell you how great he was even though he was just that. GREAT. As a player, as a coach and as a man. heaven gained a true All Pro person. Rest easy, Rattler, I'll miss you a great deal.

I had the privilege of working with Ken as a Dean of Students at WHHS for several years.
He was the kindest and most admirable man. I dont remember Ken saying a bad word about anyone! I feel blessed to be able to call him a friend!

I deeply regret the loss of a 1965 Union Academy classmate & teamate and a FAMU classmate. Ken was our symbol of achivement for a city, our graduating class, FAMU, and the state of Florida . He made me and many others proud to have known him as a exemplary black man who accomplished extraordinary things.
