LEROY PFINGSTEN Obituary
PFINGSTEN, 83
WINTER HAVEN - Leroy G. Pfingsten, age 83, died of heart complications Monday (September 16, 2013).
He was born January 7, 1930, in Onarga, IL. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and he was honorably discharged. He was a farmer in Illinois until he moved to Florida in 1971 where he worked for Cypress Gardens as a painter and later retired.
Mr. Pfingsten is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Pfingsten, Winter Haven; daughters Jean Ellen Steele (Gavin), Monticello, IL, Joan Brooks (Chuck), Winter Haven; brothers Lawrence Pfingsten, Arnold Pfingsten, both of Watseka, IL; sister Darline Bleich, Crescent City, IL; 3 grandchildren, Gavin Steele, Devon Brooks, Kendall Brooks. He was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held Sat., Sept. 21, 2013 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Winter Haven, FL. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Woodworth, Il.
Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.

My deepest sympathy to all of Leroy's family. I remember when Leroy came to the 50th reuniion of confirmation class in 1995. My husband, Raymond Tobeck was in Leroy's confirmation class of 1945 at Woodworth. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mary Ellen, so sorry to hear the loss of Leroy. He is at peace now. I know God will be with you through this time of sadness. Mary Ellen I no longer live next door as I have moved to Va to be near my son.
