NANCY KATHRYN MOHAN TOOLE, 87

WINTER HAVEN - Nancy Kathryn Mohan Toole, 87 was with family as she left this earth to join the Lord and her loving husband on February 25, 2011. She succumbed to heart failure.
Nancy was born on August 26th, 1923 in Holyoke, Mass. Nancy was predeceased by her parents Bernard & Clare (Kirwan) Mohan, her brother Bud and her precious little Angel Charlie Jr. Growing up in Bridgeport and Stratford Conn., Nancy graduated High School and attended Business School. She fulfilled her first dream of working in defense factory to support the war effort. In later years, she would enjoy her work at the Dey Brothers Cash Office in Syracuse, NY.
Nancy met the love of her life "Charlie" in Stratford and ultimately moved to Syracuse NY in the post-WWII era. They would marry in 1944 and enjoy the next 65 years of their lives together in Syracuse , Central Square NY and Winter Haven. She cherished her days as a member of the Altar Rosary Society at Our Lady of Lourdes (Syracuse) and St Ann (Haines City), Syracuse Mothers Club, Valley Little League as well as the Cub and Girl Scouts.
Nancy is survived by her children, James (Kristen) Toole, Robert O'Toole, Mary Ellen Sims, Eileen (Lanny) Butler, David (Carolyn) O'Toole, John (Janice) Toole, Martin (Danielle) O'Toole and one nephew and two nieces. Nancy always held exceptional love in her heart for her 16 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. When asked how she would like to be remembered, Nancy once replied "see the good in people, revere God and trust in St. Anthony as he will answer your prayers if it's meant to be". She was a Chaplin of the VFW Post 4289 and Eucharistic Ministry at St. Ann's.
The family will welcome visitors on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral services will be held on 10:00 AM. Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City
Nancy has requested that donations be forwarded to the charity of your choice or to the VFW Post 4289, 2441 7th St. SW, Winter Haven, Florida 33880. Condolences may be sent via: [email protected]

When I was a child Nancy and Charlie were my parents friends. As an adult I was lucky enough to be able to call them my friends. I am honored to have known Nancy and Charlie. I love them both.

I am honored to have befriended Charlie & Nancy Toole. Two very special people. My deepest sympathies to the Toole family. Knowing that Charlie & Nancy are together again can put warmth in all of our hearts. God bless.

Nancy and Charlie were always a joy to be around. I believe they were the happiest couple I have ever known. They also raised a beautiful family. We have missed them greatly at the VFW and in our lives.
