Uncle Paul, you will forever be missed by everyone. You gave me passion for the arts, you and your weird ways/sayings will always stick with me. I miss you so much and my heart aches that you're not here with us anymore. I love you so.

Paul changed my life forever and for better. I'm sure he did the same for so many others. He introduced me to a lifelong passion through my first ever on stage performance with the Pied Piper Players more than 25 years ago.

Thank you sir. I'll see you and great spirit when I return home someday.

How fortunate we have been to have had Mr. Hughes in our midst. He was a gifted teacher and greatly talented in his own right, and a very kind and generous human being.

We are in a special club. Those of us that knew him. Those of us that learned from him. Even those who just had the pleasure of seeing him perform. As shaken as I am by his passing, when I think of the light he ignited in so many of us, lights that are literally spread across the globe, the sadness fades. What he taught me, I have taught to others, who are now, in-turn, teaching others. Make no mistake - Paul Hughes' impact is global. It's a thought that puts a smile on my face as I mourn.

It's completely surreal to me that this man has passed on so soon in life. This man has been an inspiration, a mentor, a friend to so many people young & old- Including myself. He has always been the one teacher that I hold dear. I am so grateful for the time that I had, learning from him- Whether it was acting, directing, or writing. He gave me so many chances to do things that most wouldn't have believed that I could do- Because he believed in me. (like many others) Everyone that knew him is missing a small part of themselves in this unfortunate situation, and it saddens me to know that we will never get that part back. Here's to you, Mr. Hughes. Thank you for everything. And thank you for the Altoids tin, that I still possess and cherish to this day. (Anyone who received one, will know what I'm talking about.) Break a leg in your next life, Mr. Hughes! You will be missed immensely!

Mr. Hughes was a blessing to all of us who knew him. He exuded patience, kindness, and concern for everyone. Paul was a mentor to many, many children and teens, even as they grew to adulthood. Paul will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him. May God bless Mr. Hughes as he begins his Heavenly journey.
