Robert Hoagland Obituary
Lakeland - Brother Robert Delos Hoagland passed away July 5, 2021. A strong man of faith, he maintained his great sense of humor, sharp mind, and strong will throughout his life. He greatly enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing harmonica and clarinet, chess, golf, and visiting with friends.
Robert was born May 17, 1929, in Howard, NY, to Sherriff Stanley and Gladys Hoagland.
At 24, Robert received his Master's with his major in Education from Cornell University. He spent the next 16 years teaching Agriculture and Science, and another 20 years as Superintendent of Romulus Central School District. He took great pride in being a public servant and Freemason.
Robert and Evelyn married on July 7, 1951. They would have been married for 70 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hoagland, and two sons Robert and Stanley (Victoria). There will be no memorial service.

Dear Evelyn,
You and Bob often have come to mind. I especially hold on to the commitment that you and Bob always maintained of spending at least one full day together each week with no commitments. Bob truly was a man of faith and we, Kevin and I, enjoyed his humor. I am sure this loss will be trying for you, but I also know that Bob will waiting with open arms.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Hoagland's passing. I have plenty of fond memories horsing around on your property in Greenwood, the barn, the bridge over the creek behind your barn, sleeping out on your front porch (with Bob Jr and about 5 other kids) while it rained and spending the night there occasionally. Bob Jr was in my grade at GCS...many childhood memories of your time in Greenwood...

So sorry to hear of Mr. Hoagland's passing; although I took no classes from him, he was a great advisor, mentor, teacher, friend and asset to the staff in Greenwood and for me... fondly remembered. Prayers to your family.
