LAKELAND - Robert Lee Williamson, 89, passed away, as a result of heart failure, Wednesday, February 6, 2013.
Born August 7, 1925 in East Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Williamson moved to Lakeland in 1990 from Merritt Island. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the 4th Infantry Division in the European Theater during World War II. Mr. Williamson was a member of the Purple Hearts Association and Disabled American Veterans. He was a catholic.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Castle. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Frances Williamson; son, Ron (Sandy) Williamson; sister, Florence (Don) Clickenger; brother, Fred Williamson; one grandchild; and 3 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted, with military honors, Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10am at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 South Bartow Highway in Lakeland.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He will be truly missed. He was a good man, one of a kind. Hopefully, he is at rest now.
