NEWTOWN, PA. - Dr. Sean Patrick Harvey, age 52, of Newtown, PA, died Monday, March 21, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
Sean was a board-certified physician in Nephrology and Hypertension, Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He was on staff at Bucks County Kidney Specialists and Lenape Valley Foundation in Pennsylvania, in addition to Lakeland Regional Medical Center and Good Shepherd Hospice in Florida.
Sean grew up in Audubon, NJ and attended Audubon High School where he was a standout in the classroom and on the basketball court with his four brothers, Kevin, Tim, Patrick and Shea. He was a graduate of Rowan University, where he continued to excel in academia and basketball. In keeping with the Harvey basketball legacy, he also played on the team at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, which he graduated from in 1991.
Sean completed his post-graduate training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Stratford, New Jersey and at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Sean was known to his colleagues, nurses, and patients as a respected, compassionate, caring physician. He was a trusted, dedicated friend to many, and was loved by those who knew him and worked with him.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie, of Newtown, his daughter, Kayla, and his son, Kobe. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Patricia.
Please join us for a celebration of Sean's life on Friday, April 8 from 10 a.m. - 12p.m. at the Washington Crossing Inn, 1295 General Washington Memorial Blvd., Washington Crossing, PA 18977.

Dear Vickie and Family,

I have worked with Dr. Harvey since I started working at LRMC in 2002. I started out as a tech and moved up to a Screener and Social Worker. There was never a time that I felt he did not respect me or my opinions, qualified or not. He took the time to listen and to educate. I have learned so much from Dr. Harvey. He always had a way to motivate the team to learn more and reach higher. He was always kind and compassionate to me, our team, and the patients. I truly hope that some kind of foundation will be created in his honor so that future generations will know about Dr. Harvey and his legacy.

I will always remember Dr. Harvey and will hope to catch a glimpse of him every day through a kind work, by stopping and listening to someone talk, or through educating others. He is and will always be a treasured mentor. Thank you for sharing him with us!

I played high school basketball with Sean. He was strong quiet leader and great talent on the court. He was only guy in high school that I looked up to and hoped to emulate. You will be greatly missed Sean. My prayers to your family and friends.

My condolences to the entire Harvey family.
I knew Sean from grade school as he Tim & I shared safety patrol corners.. We continued on throughout Hs& then again Sean came thru Loures Med Center for some of his residency.
He truly was a caring person.
He will be missed.
