The first time I ever ran into him, he and I were both stocking up "adult beverages" for parties we were hosting. We connected because we were both in great moods, it was campaign season, and it was so clear he was very fond of this guy I liked named McKeel. ("You know him?" I asked, "or does he own your vehicle?")
As time went by I made a point to keep an eye out for him at any event: he preferred a spot with a view to a spot in the middle of the room, and I treasured watching him make eye contact with each of his kids. A father's love is sacred, and he loved y'all dearly!!!!

My sincere love and sympathy to you Seth and your family in the death of your Dad at such a young age. I still miss mine, even though he lived to be 88, but regardless of age, Dad is always missed. Miles apart, but close at heart and thoughts.

Dear, sweet Peggy - There are just no adequate words to tell you how sorry I am to hear this news. I hope you know my heart grieves with you and for you during such a loss, but our consolation is in knowing he's just gone on home ahead of us. You and your family have given so much to this area, and Doug will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers precious lady.
