Bob helped me grow up and modelled a great work ethic for me which paid off in just about everything I do. I thank Bob for that and being a true friend to my folks and to me. He gave me the opportunity to improve my mental toughness, he was always fair and held me responsible for putting in a good full days work. He taught me when I was younger fishing with my uncle Don, how to fly fish with old steel pole and I actually caught some trout using his technique. As the years went by, I had great respect for Bob Hansen and loved him as a friend and a great person.

One of the sayings I remember Bob Hansen telling our students who visited his farm during the 1990's and early 2000's was " I am a rich man, I get up everyday loving my job. I am my own boss and I have a loving family. It kind of summed up his philosophy of the importance of life on the farm. From that our students took away a genuine experience from some who loves to farm and why. Thank you Bob and thank you to your family for sharing your experiences and knowledge of life. Rest in peace.

So Sad to hear that he passed away. I grew up going to the farm and getting plums and peaches from him. He will be missed. Denise Ewing Pinnegar

Randy and Eric and your families, we are thinking about you all and please know that we have always had the upmost respect for Bob. Our families go back a long time as my parents became friends with the Hansen's as early as 1950. Our uncle, Don Morgan, became good friends much earlier in 1947. They supported each other in ranching, friendship, and fishing. Later as I worked for Bob picking pears, plums and peaches when I was in High School.
Learning from Bob changed my life for the better, learning important skills as work ethic, doings things the right way, and his love for fruit ranching was exceptional. He loved being a rancher. He told my students that one of his greatest joys came when someone would take a bite of one of his peaches and smile and say "that is the best peach I ever tasted."
Rest in Peace Bob Hansen. You have been a pillar in our community. Steve and Nancy March
