Bernardina Ruiz Obituary

San Juan - Bernardina Vega Ruiz., 89, went to be with the lord, Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her residence. Bernardina was a woman who had faith and unconditional love for her family, and friends. She was a fighter and never gave up on herself to battle through her illness. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Luis Vega and Ms. San Juana Flores her husband Adan Ruiz Sr. She is survived by daughters: Maria Soledad (Martin) Garcia, Bernardina (Jesus P.) Sanchez, Ester Ruiz (Ramiro Castro), Maria Oralia (Martin) Gonzalez, and Rosa Ana (Marcos) Dorado; sons: Adan (Blanca) Ruiz, Jr., Jose Luis Ruiz, and Hector Alejandro Ruiz; 28 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren her brother Julian Vega; sisters: Paula Adame and Maria Elena Gonzalez. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary, at De Leon Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Burial will follow at San Juan Cemetery under the direction of De Leon Funeral Home of Pharr.
