Mildred Williams Obituary

Mildred Tomblinson Williams, 90, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:20 P.M., Friday, April 2, 2010 at Wellington Parc in Owensboro, KY.
She was born February 8, 1920 in Ashbyburg, KY to the late Oliver Marshall and Vayden Gentry Tomblinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Emil Williams in 2001; one brother, Samuel Corum, Jr.; two sisters, Alma Corum Breeden and Dorothy Corum Major; son-in-law, Ron L. Johnson.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Madisonville First United Methodist Church where she attended the Upper Room Sunday School Class and the Kiel Moore Circle. She retired after 29 years of service from Farmers Bank and Trust.
She is survived by two daughters, Emily Williams Lancaster of Ocean Springs, MS and Betsy Williams Johnson of Madisonville; one sister, Mary Beth Kercheval of Madisonville; one sister-in-law, Elvira Timmons of Madisonville; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann LeBlanc, David L. Pritchett, Amy Chataginer, Michael Williams Johnson, Suzanne Johnson Anderson and Jeffrey A. Johnson; two step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Garrigan officiating, assisted by her son-in-law, Rev. James M. Lancaster. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson.
Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until the service time on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Hospice of Western Kentucky or Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk, c/o Wellington Parc of Owensboro. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
