GERARDO SAUCEDA Obituary
McALLEN - Gerardo Mario Sauceda M.D., aged 81, died on Sept. 23rd, at his home in McAllen. Dr. Sauceda was born on September 8th 1930 in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. He lived in McAllen since 1974. He was preceded in death by his parents, Prof. Andres Sauceda and Maria de Jesus Salinas de Sauceda, his son, Daniel Stephen Sauceda, and his brother Andres Sauceda. Gerardo is survived by his wife Jeanette Sauceda, and his five children, Ann Marie Case M.D. and Theresa Sauceda-LePage of Austin, Gerardo Sauceda, Richard Sauceda, and Alicia Bazan of McAllen. He is also survived by his brothers Guillermo Sauceda and Sergio Sauceda, and his 14 grandchildren. The rosary vigil will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 30, and the Memorial Mass will be at 9:30am on Oct. 1st. Both events will be at Our Lady of Sorrows chapel at 1108 W. Hackberry. Memorial contributions can be donated to the O.L.S. chapter of the Knights of Columbus Council #12040, 1108 W. My initial physician in the RGV was Gerardo Sauceda. When my mother required a doctor, Gerardo Sauceda was the one.
