Jared and Gracie Brudno

We so enjoyed our brief visits to Temple Beth El and Henrys' Shabbat teachings. We only visited a few times when we were in Brownsville, my wife Gracie's hometown, for visits. Her grandfather was a member of the old congregation and we were looking for some history of that. We didnt find much about that but we did find Henry and a small group of devotees faithful to him and their Shabbat study sessions who always warmly welcomed us. We were inspired by his intellegent teaching and dedication to Beth El's unique challenges as a congregation. This Shabbat we were in Brownsville and went to Beth El, but sadly we discovered Henry had passed on. It made us very sad, but also very glad that we had the opportunity to know Henry and be attracted to his lovely personality and deep love for Judaism and Beth El. Henry will always be remembered by us with much fondness. Jews like Henry make us all better in so many ways. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. May all those who mourn in Zion and Jerusalem be comforted.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and "May our lord Jesus Christ and God our father, who loves us comfort your heart."

Jerry, sorry to hear of your Dad's passing although he and I never actually met we did converse via internet a few years back while I was conducting a genealogical search for family members. He was able to put me in contact with Tracy Ellyn whom I still have contact. From our sharing of information I know he was a kind and thoughtful man.
