Joseph Liberati

Joseph J. Liberati, 87, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday at his home with his family by his side. Joe was an Army veteran during the Korean War. A longtime communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, Mr. Liberati was also a longtime coach for Lincoln Little League. Joe was an avid New York Giants fan, loved baseball, and spending time in his famous "garden". He retired from New Venture Gear. Joseph was the son of the late Dominec and Mary (Natale) Liberati. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Nick and Louie; sisters, Anne, Angie, Connie, Vera, and Marion. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Beulah Liberati of Syracuse; children, Joe (Andrea) Liberati of Syracuse, Tom Liberati of Syracuse, Dominic (Sue) Liberati of Liverpool, John (Kelly) Liberati of Syracuse, Carol (Keith) Para of East Syracuse, and Dan (Julie) Liberati of Liverpool; sisters, Betty Liberati and Rose Chairmonte; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one due in September. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27th, 9:15 a.m. at FARONE & SON Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 26th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
