Luis Guerrero Obituary

Edinburg - It is with profound sorrow and loving memory that the family of Luis Guerrero announces his peaceful passing on Monday, April 1, 2024, in McAllen. Luis was born bright-eyed at 4:20 in the morning on February 5, 1974, in McAllen to Alicia M. and Lauro Guerrero, Jr., Luis lived a vibrant life characterized by his warm spirit, boundless energy, and the deep bonds he formed with those around him.

Luis leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his family: his devoted parents, Alicia M. and Lauro Guerrero, Jr., of Edinburg; his beloved son, Sebastian Amadeo Guerrero and Sebastian's mother, Martha Jean Trevino, of Edinburg; his brothers, Lauro Guerrero, III (Michelle), of Edinburg, and Leonel Guerrero (JoAnne), of McAllen. He is also fondly remembered by numerous paternal and maternal uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives who were touched by his generous spirit.

Above all, Luis cherished his family. His love for his son Sebastian, whom he saw as his greatest achievement, knew no bounds. He admired the incredible mother Martha was to his only son. Luis loved being the youngest of the Guerrero family and cherished moments with his brothers, Lonnie and Larry.

Throughout his successful career in marketing and sales, Luis was esteemed for his remarkable ability to connect with people, forging enduring relationships with colleagues, clients, and friends alike. His gift for communication was not just a professional tool but a testament to his genuine interest in the lives of others, leaving a lasting impact on all he encountered.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Luis was known for his dynamic and caring nature. He had the unique ability to light up every room he entered, welcoming friends and strangers alike with open arms and a radiant smile. His infectious laughter and zest for life created an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, making every moment with him a cherished memory.

A celebration of Luis's life will be held, allowing friends and family to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. The Guerrero family will receive friends and family at a visitation on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton Rd., Edinburg, Texas. Interment of cremated remains will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1701 E Richardson Rd., Edinburg, Texas.

Luis's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Luis's friends and to the community for the outpouring of love and support during this time.

As we say goodbye to Luis, we also celebrate the incredible journey he shared with us. His legacy will continue to inspire, reminding us of the power of kindness, the strength of community, and the enduring nature of love. Luis Guerrero will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
