Luis Ramirez Obituary

Mission - Luis G. Ramírez left this earth peacefully on September 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was welcomed in Heaven by his mother, Rosa Palacios, who had died shortly after his birth.

Luis was born on December 10, 1931, in La Grulla, Texas. He was raised by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Cortez, until her death. Despite his adversities, Luis went on to live a happy and interesting life. He lived life to the fullest, and he was always grateful for all the blessings our Lord bestowed upon him and his family. Luis was a man who never met a stranger; he was always amiable and friendly to everyone. He proudly served his country as a PFC in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Later on, after his honorable discharge from the Army, Luis continued serving his country by participating in an honor guard detail.

Luis is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Tina Ramírez, his two children: Carlos (Stefan Haskett) and Liza Salinas (Javier). He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren: Carlo Gabriel (Yanira), Javier Micahel (Ashley), Carla Marise (Tyler). Luis is also survived by his precious great-grandchildren: Maksim, Penelope Lee, Julien Luis, Jaxson Cash, and Eliana Rayen. Survivors also include many loving nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

The Ramírez family wishes to recognize and express their gratitude to Luis' army of earth angels: Vere, Lupita, Sylvia, Becky, Norie, Janie, and Kevin.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission.

Due to the recent surge in CO-VID, the visitation, mass, and burial will be limited to family members. We thank you in advance for respecting the family's request.

Our most sincere Condolences. Tina, and to the Ramirez Family.
It is during times of Great loss that we realize how limiting words can be and how special our Friends truly are. We hope you hear the words we cannot speak, for words can do no justice to the heartache you and your Family have suffered. we ask that you don't mourn the loss. of your Husband Luis alone and you share your memories of him with us.

Luis was the first friend Mike made when we moved to Mission, he had a welcoming smile and firm handshake, Then we met Tina and our friendship became like family, Tina and Luis were our neighbors, at Mission Manor, more than neighbors we were best friends, we know heaven gained an angel, and here on earth he left cherished memories to family and friends!
God speed our friend! And thanks for the memories, you will be missed!
Blessings to the family,
