Manuel nació el 12 de febrero de 1954 a sus padres, Merced y Andrea Alvarez.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Ernestina Alvarez; tres hijos, Sandra (Alfredo) Munguia, Baldemar Alvarez, Arnoldo Alvarez; seis nietos, Yahel Alvarez, Uriel Alvarez, Damian Alvarez, Arianna Munguia, Alexa Munguia, y Sofia Alvarez. Todos ellos sienten un inmenso vacío por su partida, pero también una profunda gratitud por el tiempo y los recuerdos compartidos. Su legado perdurará en los corazones de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.
La familia invita a toda nuestra familia, amigos y seres queridos al velorio que se llevará a cabo el miércoles, 29 de mayo de 2024, desde las 4 a 8 p.m., con un rosario a las 6 p.m. en Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton en Edinburg, TX.
Una misa en su honor, se celebrará el jueves, 30 de mayo de 2024 en la iglesia Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 E. Champion St., Edinburg, TX. El entierro seguirá los servicios de misa en el cementerio Valley Memorial Gardens, 3601 N. Taylor Rd en Mission, TX.

EDINBURG-Manuel B. Alvarez, 70, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, Merced and Andrea Alvarez.
Mr. Alvarez is survived by his wife, Ernestina Alvarez; three children, Sandra (Alfredo) Munguia, Baldemar Alvarez, Arnoldo Alvarez; six grandchildren, Yahel Alvarez, Uriel Alvarez, Damian Alvarez, Arianna Munguia, Alexa Munguia, and Sofia Alvarez.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg, TX. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1302 E. Champion St., in Edinburg, TX. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3601 N. Taylor Rd, in Mission, TX.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg, TX.
