MICHAEL WAYNE POLIS Michael Wayne Polis passed away May 13, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's disease. His strong determination and will to live life to the fullest leaves behind a lasting example for his family and friends. He loved flying airplanes, scuba diving, fast cars and motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He always wanted to help people by being a volunteer fireman and EMT. Michael fought the good fight, finished the race and kept his faith. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Jo and Dennis Jensen; sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Robert Knight; aunt and uncle Genna and Jim Lewis; cousins Mel and Stefan Sumers, Jay and Beth Lewis, Lance and Paula Lewis and Daphne and Kevin Cameron; extended family Angie, Nick, Matt, Tim and Tink Naccarato. He was preceded in death by his father Kelly Wayne Polis; sister Jennifer Erin Polis; grandparents Mary and Arthur Stapper and Carrie and Albert Polis. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31st at Kreidler Funeral home in McAllen Texas. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM followed by a service at 1:00 PM officiated by Father Greg Labus.
