Fran extends her sympathies to the Wilde family. Jay struggled with Alzheimer's over 10 years but remained upbeat and very much in love with Fran. They traveled all over the world and Jay usually found a way to communicate with the locals while Fran helped with hand gestures. He used to tell AD jokes that bothered her but he had such a natural wit she always caved. Jay and Fran would be celebrating 16 years of marriage next month not 12.
Life threatening illness forced Fran to move closer to her daughters but she returned regularly to be with Jay. He even talked to her about moving to Ohio as he missed her, but TX was his home. Always the gentleman, he always had her enter a room in front of him, held her arm when she was unsteady, opened every door for her and held her hand when walking. They made a cute couple. Jay's oldest daughter helped him phone Fran a few days before he died and she permanently saved his call and is so thankful for that kindness. They had a love that circumstances and naysayers could not diminish. The rest of us should be so lucky.

Norbert Wilde was my Great Uncle I remember him as a teenager when he would visit my Grandparents Edward and Mary Wilde . His visits were always something special. Several months ago on a very busy night at Red Lobster I waited on a family...I didn t realize until the gentleman paid with his credit card that it was my Great Uncle. He hugged me and and said " Doesn t she look like a Wilde ? " My condolences to Bernadette and her family.
