To the Walsh Family: My sincerest condolences for your loss. I will always be greatful for the impact Professor Walsh had on my life in becoming an educator. I revealed to Elizabeth, that I believe he took pity on me and passed me, just so he wouldn't see me the next semester in his class. And I was also very fortunate to have had the opportunity to worship with Dr. Walsh at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. He always had a kind compliment for me about my music. "I hope I brought you happiness with my voice in singing your favorite hymns." "I will miss seeing you at your favorite spot in the pew."

We will miss Dr. Walsh greatly at South Texas College. Between classes he could be found in the cafeteria, where he always had a kind word for everyone and where he enlightened us with his knowledge of many topics. His positive attitude, sometimes in the face of great physical challenges, were uplifting to all of us. Rest in peace, dear friend and colleague.
