Alice Rolston Obituary

Rolston, Alice Elaine, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant went to join her husband in heaven on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at The Fountain of Love Assisted Living in Rosebush with her loving caretaker June by her side. A graveside service is planned for Friday, July 9 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in Mt. Pleasant with Chaplain Robbie Lewis of the Care Team officiating. Alice was born on January 5, 1936 in Clare Michigan, the daughter of Bruce and Doris (Crandall) Fuller. She married David "Bill" Rolston on August 9th, 1952. She was a devoted wife and matriarch of the family, who supported her kids and grandkids and would proudly tell you of their accomplishments. Alice never met a stranger and would strike up conversations with people wherever she went. She became a professional clown "Pixie" and was a member of the Professional Clown Association and volunteered for many local groups. She enjoyed gardening, camping, crafts, talking and any sport her kids or grand kids were participating in. Alice is survived by her children Kim (Frank) Sheets of Shepherd, Linda Rau, Bill Rolston both of Lake Isabella and Doris (Richard) Nestle of Mt. Pleasant, grandchildren, Sara Rolston, Alicia Hadley, Melissa Hadley, Jennifer Pace, Rob (Erica) Rolston, Ryan (Andrea) McCullough, Dane Nestle and Reid Nestle. Also survived by her brother Lance Fuller of Manton, brother-in-laws Guy (Joyce) Rolston of Mt. Pleasant, Walt (Mary Ann) Rolston of St. Louis, Russ (Bernie) Rolston of Shepherd and Sister-in-law Carol (Rick) Lewis of Oklahoma. Alice was preceded in death by her husband David "Bill" Rolston, parents, brothers George and Zane Fuller, her son in law Gary Rau and several other loving family members. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.

So sorry her family and community have lost her she was so much fun, so interested and engaged with everyone and everything. She was a good listener, gave excellent advice, was so creative- you could always learn something new from her! She was a real treasure and we are all the poorer for her loss!
