Amy Clark Obituary

Clark, Amy Aline As the first grandchild and niece on both sides of her family, Amy Aline Clark entered the world on September 24, 1970 to great celebration. Her infectious, musical laughter continued to bless her family throughout the years until her graduation to her Heavenly reward on Sunday, June 11, 2017. After graduating from Alma High School in 1991, Amy volunteered at the Masonic Home for 10 years and was employed at Gratiot Integrated Health Network for 15 years. But in addition to her work, Amy cultivated her hobbies of collecting American Girl dolls, Precious Moments figurines and watching movies. She loved Winnie the Pooh, Annie, the color purple, her dog Sasha and candy! Amy was one of the best huggers you could meet and she gave them without reservation. Amy had many health struggles, but was blessed to be the recipient of a kidney donated by her mother in March of 1996. This extended her time with us by many years. So many people loved Amy and she will be missed greatly by her parents, Jerry and Pat (Tefft) Clark; her sister, Heidi (Bill) Smitley; and her "ABC" nephews, Andrew, Ben and Caleb. Her sweet spirit will also be missed by aunts and uncles, Ruthann (Ra) David, Carolyn (Bill) Grohs, Suzanne (Mark) Detwiler, Shirley (Gordy) Aurand, Roger (Susan) Clark; her cousins, Chad Clark, Joel Clark, Tyler Clark, Kellan Clark, Kristen Hall, Katie Cuthbertson, Elizabeth Harper and Ben Grohs; and several special second cousins. When Amy entered Heaven, she got to meet her maternal-grandparents, Frank and Doris Tefft and be reunited with her paternal-grandparents, Don and Harriet Clark, her cousin, Aaron Clark and her namesake, great-grandma, Amy. A celebration of Amy's life will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 am at Trinity Church, 1525 W. Superior Street, Alma, MI with Pastor Jeff England officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Trinity Church and Thursday, June 15th from 10 am until the time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Gratiot/Isabella Association of Interfaith Ministries, 4884 E. Broomfield, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858, an organization providing Christian worship, fellowship, and education for persons with developmental disabilities, their families, and care providers. The family wishes to thank the staff from Alma Davita Dialysis and Mid-Michigan Medical Center Gratiot for the loving care they gave to Amy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. To view Amy's obituary online or to leave a condolence for the family please visit www.luxfuneralhomes.com

I am so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. She was such a special person. I do not have a memory of her where she was not smiling. I was her dietitian many years ago through CMH and then had the privlidge of working with her as a colllague when I started working there again about 6 years ago. I will miss her smile, kind words and stories and pictures about her family who she loved so dearly. Prayers to you for peace and comfort at this time.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. I will never forget the smiles she brought as a volunteer at Masonic Home. Even though she thought of me as her "boss" while volunteering, I thought of her as a friend. Prayers and love.

God most certainly gained a special angel! Our hearts are heavy, but that would be selfish, for now sweet Amy is pain free and in the arms of our Father! May God bless Amy and her entire family as they face the loss of such a special young woman!
