Raymundo Rodriguez Obituary

Rodriguez Raymundo G.; passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2015, Born in San Benito, Texas on April 27, 1940, Ray spent his early years in seasonal employment throughout the U.S. before settling in Alma where he began work in the Automotive industry, working at Lobdell-Emery, rising to the position of plant supervisor. Throughout his career and daily life, Ray liked nothing more than a good conversation, his wish to connect to most everyone often drew the ire of his family, left to wait in the car while Dad had a “talk.” Be it with the gas station attendant, the store merchant or the familiar passers by, our Dad wanted to hear your story. A lover of all things human Ray never failed to draw a crowd, whether on the golf course, at the counter in Pizza Sams or in the small Mexican food joints he discovered throughout the Alma area. Never one to sit still, Dad was a man of many professions and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. After retirement he resided in Holt, MI with his current wife, Dorothy who survives him. Dad leaves behind his former wife Judy Sutton; his sons, Steven of Kansas City, MO, Russel of Santa Barbara, CA; his daughter, Kelly of Vestaburg, MI;. six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Narciso Rodriguez; and his mother, Manuela G.West. A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held at a later date.
