Phyllis Ebert Obituary

FREMONT: Phyllis J. Ebert, 81, of Fremont passed away early Tuesday morning at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Russell H. and Mary Catherine (Feick) Karl.
She was a 1946 graduate of Sandusky High School and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was active in the Charity Circle of Grace Lutheran Church, served on Church Council and Altar Guild, was a past board member of the Grace Lutheran Council of Women and was a greeter. Phyllis was also a Library Aid and a Teacher's Aid at Stamm School. She retired six years ago, as tour guide at the Hayes Presidential Center where she worked since 1980. On October 11, 1947 she married Gordon Ebert, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2006.
Surviving are daughters, Cheryl Ebert of Avon, OH, and Patricia Ann (Christopher) Mehling of Cresthaven, KY; sons, Douglas Karl (Paula) Ebert of Florence, KY, and Steven L. (Lisa) Ebert of Fremont; grandchildren, Justin, Andrea, Nathan, Jennifer, Joshua, Courtney, Erica, and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Drew, Elijah; three nieces; one nephew; four great-nieces; three great-nephews; three great-great nieces; two great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Gordon.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church where the family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Paul Gruetter will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church or The Rutherford B. Hayes Center Library
Keller-Ochs- Koch- Mason Funeral and Cremation Service 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, OH was entrusted with the privilege of serving Phyllis's family.
