Steven A. Soenichsen

Steven A. Soenichsen, 65 formerly of Dundee, MI and Elmore, OH died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Heritage Valley of Clyde. He was born April 13, 1955 in Fremont, OH to the late Carl H. and Kathleen E. (Wendt) Soenichsen. He was a 1973 graduate of Woodmore High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Steve retired from Sun Oil, Toledo where he was a Boiler Operator and was a member of the Hazmat Team. He was very active in the Elmore Historical Society. He enjoyed riding bicycles and motorcycles and traveled the World, visiting 6 of the 7 Continents.

Survivors include his daughter Stephanie (Eddie) Lovins of Lake Orion, MI; granddaughters Allison and Kelsey Lovins; sisters: Susan (Roger) Minier of Oak Harbor, OH and Carol Flick of Woodville, OH; nephews Andrew and Bradley Flick.

Services will be announced at a later date by the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel with burial to be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Those wishing to give memorial contributions are asked to consider the Elmore Historical Society. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserfuneralhome.com.

My deepest sympathies go out to all of Steve’s family and friends. I had the honor of being a friend of Steve’s and fellow worker at the refinery. Very much enjoyed the tales of his travels. Prayers and thoughts are with all.
