Charles Turner Obituary

Charles "Charlie" William Turner, 84, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Sunrise Manor of Hodgenville.

Charlie was born on June 12, 1940, to the late William and Lena Grimes Turner. He spent 50 years as a mechanic, then opened a dealership known as Turner's Truck Sales, where he was in sales for 19 years. He also helped start the Serenity Club on S. Main Street.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Randall Turner.

Survivors include his wife, Karin Cralle Turner; a son, Scott (Joanie) Turner; a daughter, Sandy (Larry) Kidd; three grandchildren, Tyler (Amber) Turner, Katee Turner and Autumn (Matt) Miller; three great-grandchildren, Gracie Jo Carter, Zane Dadisman and Kash Dadisman; a brother, Hoppy Turner; and a sister, Dianne Dukes.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Dewayne Gibson officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continues from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in honor of Charles "Charlie" Turner to St. Jude’s or Norton Children's Hospital.

I always looked up to Charlie so much. He was one of the handsomest guys at Rineyville High School but more than that one of the nicest too! He was just a really good guy and a great mechanic. Very gifted i was so pleased when he and dear Karin got together. I love them both so much, I am so sad for her and the entire family. Love Carol Sue Preston Moll
