Funeral Services for Brian Mitchell Whitehead, 16, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Family Church, West Monroe with Jeremy Sumner officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA

Mitchell was born on March 4, 1997 in Ruston, LA and passed away suddenly on April 3, 2013 in West Monroe, LA. Mitchell loved to Rodeo, especially Bull Riding. He was a member of the North Louisiana Rodeo Association, previously rode in the High School Rodeo, and enjoyed riding at the Bull Palace. He was an all around great person, and was country to the core. He enjoyed being with friends, and loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mitchell also loved poetry and drawing. He was a student at West Monroe High School. His great grandfather, Mitchell Whitehead; and his best buddy and cousin, Kyle Phillips both preceded Mitchell in death.

Mitchell is survived by his father, Brian Wayne Whitehead and fiancé, Brandy Toler; mother, Shanna Gray of Huttig, AR; sister, Blakely Dawn Gray of Bastrop, LA; grandparents, Janice Bearden and husband, Michael, and Barry Whitehead and wife, Jeanie, Marlene Brazier and Harold Vail; great grandmother, Mary Whitehead; aunts, Sheila Whitehead Hamm and husband, Del, Samantha Whitehead Cobb both of West Monroe, LA, Jennifer Norrell and husband, Jeff of Hamburg, AR., Misty Ballard, Christine Milsap, Cassidy Vail and Melissa Vail; uncles, Bobby Brazier and wife, Christy of Huttig, AR and Ronnie d'Artney and wife, Pam of Coalinga, CA ; Mitchell's girlfriend, Asja Jordan of West Monroe, LA; cousins, Richard Hamm, Kacee Hamm, Danny Phillips, Savannah Phillips, Macy Whitehead, Harley Cobb, Caleph Norrell, Justus Brazier, Abby Brazier, Abel Brazier, Ryan d'Artney, Ashley d'Artney, Alyssa d'Artney, Logan Norwood, Carson Milsap, Katy Ballard and Justin Ballard; Kyle's fiancé, Rachel Glynn; his rodeo family, there are too many to list, but you know who you are, and especially the Grubbs Family; Mitchell's close friends, Shane Watson, Brad and Nicole Clark, Piper Folden, Rachel Cascio, Ronnie and Nelda Cascio, Matthew Jordan, and Will Ramey.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hamm, Danny Phillips, Tyler Farmer, Jacob Jones, Dusty Jones, Will Ramie, Josh Machem and Wes Biggs.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Family Church, West Monroe.
