I only met James a few years ago after moving to Louisiana but he had a great heart, smile and always something nice to say. He'll be missed. My prayers go out to his family.

When we were kids and would come to visit Aunt Verlon, Uncle Pete, Tommy and Jimmy, for some unknown reason Jimmy would always hide under the bed. We always thought it was funny. When he eventually came out of his shell, he was always laughing and joking. Karen and Todd, gentle thoughts during this difficult time.

We lived 50 yards apart and were great friends. Rode our bikes a million miles and got into all kinds of trou, I mean stuff. Our world as we grew up in and as we know it today is gone. I loved Jimmy Pete Pitre and will truly miss him. RIP Pete!

I will always remember Jimmy as a kind, sweet soul. My dad, Tommy Pitre loved his brother very much. I remember those two laughing and having a great time together whenever they got together. I will miss Jimmy's great big smile and happy personally. My sincere condolences go out to Karen and Todd, I know how much you will miss your father...May God give you both the strength to face the days without him.
