Steve was an exceptional man and attorney. The last 18 months was the first time I worked closely with him on a legal matter. I saw him as a class act and a great representative of the legal profession. He will be missed by me, and others who knew him. His family will be in my prayers.

Dear Family,
I had the priviledge to work with Steve over the past twenty years as a representative of one of his corporate clients. It is with great sadness that I learn of my friend's passing, but I also know from the witness of this good man that he understood the words of the Apostle Paul, as there was much Christ in his living. May the God of all comfort bless you and keep you until that time when we shall all see Him as He is, for we shall be as He is.

Dear Kathy and Family,
We just learned from Jerry Goss that Steve had died. We thank God for His comfort for you through the Holy Spirit. We fondly remember our days with you all at Quail Ridge. We especially remember Steve's participation in the mission trip with us to Romania. It was a great joy to have fellowship with him at that time.
May the God of all comfort be with you in this time of great loss.

Kathy and family,
Debbie and I were out of state when Steve passed away and just learned about it. We are so sorry for your loss. Getting to know Steve was truly a highlight of our time at Grace Life. Though I had long known of his reputation in the legal community, the man I got to know through church was truly inspirational. His talent, humor, and love of the Lord shone through in every aspect of his life. I know your family has many wonderful memories of him--anyone who knew him does. He will truly be missed.
Our love to you all,
John and Debbie Shirley

Dear Kathy and family,
As I reflect back on our years of fellowship with you at Quail Ridge I saw God do a work I had not seen before or since. Shortly after our arrival God moved Pastor Johnson and family to Kansas City. God did not leave us alone, but raised up fine young godly men to teach us, among them Steve Wilson. The church grew, even without a pastor! I remember Christmas parties at your home and even a farewell party next to your pool when God moved our family 6 years later. The work I saw God do in those years was awesome. As evidenced by some of the other messages that I've read today, God moved many of those families across the USA...and He kept a remnant in Baton Rouge to continue his work there. I know Steve and his family similarly touched many more lives since that brief moment in time. I know you are deeply grieving your loss and we grieve with you. We look forward to the day when we can reunite with you and Steve and Jesus in heaven. May you find His peace until then.

I was so saddened to learn of Steve's recent accident and unexpected passing. While we were both from Ouachita Parish, we did not meet until our first year of law school and ended up up in the same section with about 75 other apprehensive legal wannabees. I remember Steve as a kind and decent person, a hard worker and one who was proud to become an attorney. One of his partners expressed to me how much he loved his work and how he always faithfully attended to his clients' needs. The profession will miss him greatly. My heartfelt sympathies to his family and to Keogh, Cox and Wilson. I pray for the peaceful repose of his soul as he enters the Heavenly Kingdom.

Dear Kathy, Robbie, Jessica and Megan: So shocked and sad to hear about Steve's sudden death. What a gracous, loving man! We were very much impacted by him and your whole family's love while we fellowshipped at Quail Ridge. I cannot imagine your grief and what life will be like without him for you. We pray that at this time you will know the love of God which passeth understanding and that you are comforted by the sure fact that one day you will share unspeakable joy together with Steve in the presence of the Savior, where He himself will wipe away every tear.

There are no words to express the sadness over the loss of this precious Man among Men!! Steve will forever remain in our hearts and memories as a kind and loving soul, leaving a legacy of honor and love to his sweet family and legion of friends. He was a "gentle giant" among the halls of WMHS and respected by all of us, his classmates. Kathy and family, please know that each of you will continue to be in our prayers over these difficult days ahead. Rest in peace, our dear Steve.

Dear Wilson Family:
I had the honor and privilege of working with Steve in a series of cases over the last 4 years. Without exception, I looked forward to every single time I would get to visit with Steve, either by phone or in person. In my experience, Steve exhibited the exemplary trait of putting his clients' interests first, knowing the law, and fulfilling his role as "trusted counselor". What a loss for all of us here on Earth, but what a blessing for those in Heaven.

I didn't see Steve much after graduating WMHS till the 1st day at law school - and then we had all our classes together for a year and I saw him most every day for the full 3 years. He was smart, funny, caring, perceptive, and always had a positive and practical outlook regardless of events. An amazing and irreplaceable person.
