Ben was one of those people who you just enjoyed seeing. His quirky smile, his humor and warmth just drew you in! His tireless academic work, especially pertaining to online learning, provides a long-lasting legacy and impact. He leaves an amazing example as husband and father, professor, editor, and man of faith. Ben, my hero and role model. How I will miss you!

I remember Ben very fondly from out actual and virtual meetings in the Academy of Management and around it. He was such a good person, not only a great academic. He invited me to join AMLE and provided supportive developmental feedback on the path. A good example of a hard working, honest and kind academic colleague.
Sending warmest thoughts to his family.

What an amazing man. He was a rare combination of intelligent, articulate, outgoing, and caring about others. Ben was my instructor for several business courses. He was deeply interested in the subjects he taught and his passion was inspiring. In his classes, he went beyond teaching: he was a leader and someone who cultivated new knowledge. He didn't just want you to read the book, he wanted to talk about the book and explore what it meant to you. He obviously meant a lot to a lot of people. That speaks volumes about his character. My condolences to the family.

I had Dr. Arbaugh as a professor over the years, with him being my only professor my classes this past Spring semester. You could tell he was a passionate individual and truly cared about his students. I appreciated all of the knowledge and discussion he brought to the classes.

Paula, I remember the first time you and Ben came in to see me for planning purposes. I knew you from church yet I was still intimidated by all of Ben's degrees and his incredible intelligence with regard to everything including finance. The cool thing about Ben is that no matter how much he knew he loved to learn new things. He did everything in his power to provide and protect his family during his lifetime. He was able to do this because he was open minded enough to learn new concepts and strategies that were non-traditional. He not only understood how he could best help all of you while living, but more importantly, how he could demonstrate his love to you all, should he pass early. I hope it gives you peace and comfort to know that Ben followed his heart.
I also remember being in Hawaii at the same time you were honeymooning. The love and devotion on your faces for each other was beautiful then and continued to be whenever we met. The love that we shared for the magic of the Hawaiian Islands will always be a special bond and memory.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
