Linda Zillges Obituary

Zillges, Linda J.

Linda J. Zillges, age 64, of Oshkosh, passed away on August 10, 2017 a her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 14, 1953 a daughter of Robert and Marjorie Wildish. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1971. In July of 1988 Linda completed the Certified Financial Planner Professional Education Program through the College for Financial Planning, Denver, CO. Linda had a 40 year career in the banking business. Her career started in high school as a secretary for Oshkosh National Bank and she later became a teller. Then she moved to Green Bay and worked for Kellogg Bank, which later became Associated Bank, for 28 years. She ended her career with Baylake Bank. The majority of her banking career was in bank management. She worked her way up to Vice President status. Linda married Tom Zillges on September 18, 2008.

She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband, Tom Zillges; step-son, Tim (Anne) Zillges, step-daughter, Amy (Robert) Davies; sisters, Sharon Merryfield, Janice (LeRoy) Behlman, Patti (Mark) Griese, Diane (Mark) Pendergast; brother, Allen (Denise) Wildish; grandson, Cody (Matty) Embs, step-grandchildren, Hunter and Lillie Rosendahl, Megan, Maria, Brooke and Melanie Zillges. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both sets of grandparents; a brother, Randy Wildish and her son, Shawn Embs.

Funeral services for Linda will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in Lord of The Lakes Church, 6090 Harbour S Drive in Winneconne, WI. A time of visitation and support will be held for the family at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please, memorials in her name may be made to the Boy's and Girl's Club of Oshkosh. The family would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Karen Gremminger and the nursing staff of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology of Oshkosh for the compassionate care that was extended to Linda and her family.

Tom & Family and Cody! so sorry to hear he news. Linda was a fun loving woman who always greeted her friends with a bright sunny smile, big hug and a kiss! - - She had a positive outlook and will always be remembered for that. She was part of our "wine ladies lunch" - - "flower shoppers" - - and "hunter widow weekenders" - - we have loads of memories to cherish .... you all need to keep yours close too. XXOO RIP Linda!
