For those of us who knew Tom, especially the members of GROUP, we will always remember the jovial attitude, the smile, and just plain enjoyment of having him around. He was a friend you could always trust. I seriously and personally believe, and I am sure most of the vets who knew Tom, can say they rarely ever heard a bad word said from him about anybody at any time. Tom was always a soldier's soldier and was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter who you were. All of us should take a little part of that kindness and carry it on in his name. From my heart and vets and friends who knew Tom, we are all losing a small part of our life, and we will deeply miss him. P.S. All of us who knew Tom knew one of his very favorite places, when on the highway, was Cracker Barrel Restaurant (he loved them!) From now on, I will dedicate my cup of coffee and meal to the memory of Tom. Keep watch over us, ole buddy.

Pam, I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss to all the SOA/USDR family. Know that you are still invited to come out and visit the orchard and relax in a piece of Heaven that sits just across the Mississippi.

Tom was the the consumate "Quiet Professional," you never would have known what he had done for our country if your hadn't served with him or asked to hear his stories. It was an honor to serve him.
