May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. I met Gene at the mall where he gathered with friends, I was with my dad, and Gene scared me at first, but soon learned he was just a big teddy bear! I so enjoyed talking with him 3-4 times a week and hearing all the srories about his family and being a proud vetran, I will miss my friend and never forget my favorite hero

Gene was a valued member of our family while he was a partner to Barbara Davis, our mother and grandmother. His kindness and sense of humor made us all love him. He stood by Barb until the end of her life and was known to put flowers on her grace after she left us. He will be sorely missed by us and our children and grandchildren

A true hero, patriot, and family man. Those qualities extended to all those in his orbit and made us better. I can't imagine what my life would have been like without the friendship of Mr. Foote's children. I can't imagine what my life would have been like without his mentorship of honor, courage and commitment. Thank you Marine! Semper Fi.
