Mary E. O'Reilly

Mary E. O'Reilly, age 85, of Lacey, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.
Born in Thalia, Texas, Mary was the daughter of Ben and Jessie (Cole) Haney. She and her family relocated to New Mexico at an early age. Mary graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1939 and Business College in Albuquerque. She married Arthur Mossey in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1977. She then married Patrick O'Reilly in 1982, he preceded her in death in 1993.
Before retirement in 1988, Mary had worked for the administrative offices of the Teamsters Union in Seattle for seventeen years. After retirement she and her husband relocated to the Diamond Point area of Sequim, where she was active in the Sequim/Dungeness Hospital Guild and was a licensed realtor. She loved her family, enjoyed her friends, gardening and playing bridge.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hanson of Olympia; her son, Bill (Rose) Mossey of Puyallup; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Mossey and his wife, Susan Mossey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and memorial contributions may be sent to Thurston County Food Bank
Woodlawn Funeral Home of Lacey, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.woodlawn-forest.com.
