Robert Calkins Obituary
December 19, 2020
Olympia, Washington - Robert (Bob) Glenn Calkins died December 19, 2020. This 94 year old North Dakota farm boy turned north westerner has found a new home with his parents—Commerce and Mary, his siblings—Warren and Lois, and his offspring—Warren and Deborah—in heavenly rest.
He leaves behind Marilyn, his wife of 57 years, their sons—Scot and Gregory, their grandsons—Tristan Caleb and Thomas, his son John Hawklyn and grandsons—Ben and Scott in California.
His life has been one of service—as a United Methodist minister, a Child Protective Service caseworker and a counselor at the Shelton Correction Center. He was known as a devoted husband, an involved father, a faithful friend, a fine musician and a handyman—par excellence.
A private family memorial service will be held at The First United Methodist Church.
